Shadow Echoes
Shadows whisper secrets in the quiet corners of the mind.
Wounds unseen bleed silently,
Etching pain into the vital spirit.
Remembrances,
Often like shards of glass,
Pierce through the fragile peace,
Each thought of serrated edge,
Carving each breath with the noxious pungency of memory.
Further down…
The heart fights wars no one can see,
A battlefield of emotions
Where battles lost and won in silence
Leave wounds that never completely heal,
Forever pulsating through malevolent scars
That often refuse to fade.
Scars stretch like shadows at dusk,
Elongating their determination with the fading light,
Each fault a testament to battles fought,
Stories untold.
Yet…
In the murky dark,
A flicker,
A spark impacts a malleable willingness,
For even the deepest wounds desire to heal.
Yes…
Tenacity can cause ashes to rise anew,
And shadows though long,
Can eventually fade,
And scars, though deep,
Can heal,
Leaving behind profiles of malleability,
Testaments to the inextinguishable light within.
I have found that true my life. When life throws you a bad curve. It is best just to knuckle down and persevere. Eventually, things will get much better.
