My interpretation of utopia - spoiler alert - it's within reach
For me, Utopia isn’t a mythical place. It’s a series of realities that make my life complete.
Here are a few of my favorite things:
Oceans and rivers and mountains and fields
Manicured gardens and wild nature trails
Snuggly blankets, soft pillows and cotton bedsheets
Clothes, clothes, clothes and more clothes
Coffee, hamburgers, chocolate and ice cream
Thrifting to add to my small collection of midcentury glassware.
Yoga and walking and laughing
Time with friends and family
My 5 year old great-niece and my 9 year old dog
Stories – reading them, writing them, telling them and listening to them.
Volunteering to make a small part of my world a little better
Mentoring people to carry on when I am through
And I cannot forget my most important treasure - me
By adding all these things together
I have built a utopia I can enjoy every day.
