i got the idea for this story from the sermon that was preached last night at church.

Dear God:
My name is Ronee' Le-Anne, and I am ten years old; turned 10 years old this past Christmas Day. I am writing because Pastor Bilkey said some things at church yesterday that really had me thinking.
Pastor said that we are in our last days, and we best be ready for that time when you DO decide to come again! He said that things are happening so fast, and there is no telling what tomorrow may bring. And with our country on the brink of war or the threats of more terrorist acts against our nation, we need to be on our guard and get down on our knees and pray that you shower us with Your Mercy and Compassion during this scary and unpredictable time.
He read from the Bible (what ELSE would Pastor Bilkey do at church?? LOL) and preached (DUH!), and he was saying that no matter what happens, You are always there, ready to help us in our time of need. And we need to look to You now, more than ever, especially during these last few days before You come again to Earth to take Your Children Home to Heaven.
Pastor said that we need to return to Godly principles and we need to focus our minds on You. I have no problem with that, Lord, but at times it is so DANG HARD!! I see all this bad stuff happening, and sometimes I wonder if You are even THERE, in the midst of all our problems! But I know You ARE, although a good many people do NOT! And I also know that You care, and that You are in the midst of everything that we are going through, and that You will NEVER, ever leave us!
This is why I sing about You during my shows, and this is why I go to church each and every week and hear Pastor Bilkey preach Your Mesage of Hope and Peace and spend time in Holy Worship and in the Word. I love my church, and I love spending time with You, Lord! You saved me from Hell, and even though I haven't been healed yet of my arthritis or other problems, You HAVE promised me a Healing, and it says in Your Sweet Word that "By my stripes, you are healed". You had Your Son, Jesus, take my problems (as well as everybody else's) to that hill on Calvary when You bore OUR sins and died on that Cross. YOUR Son chose to do this because You (and He) both love us THAT much; and it makes ME cry or rejoice just thinking about it! If it were not for Your Love, Lord, I wouldn't have made the choice to accept You into my life; and because I did, I am now going to go to Heaven when You DO come back! And I will get my Healing, too, in the process!
I can't WAIT, Lord God!! :)
Thank you for saving me, Lord, and thank you for saving my family! And thank you for my Healing that I have coming to me; and thank you for being there in everything I go through in life, good OR bad!
Gotta' go to physical therapy now; talk to you later today when I start praying!
This was truly so touching to me. I really loved it. I wish everyone in the world could read this and remember the great love the Lord has for His children.

Very sweet and inspiring letter to God.
I use to write letters to God every night.
I need to start back doing that.
