Johnny's observations of the Loretta Lynn concert at Billy Bob's Texas. (The family is on their way home back to Tennessee; Johnny is doing this on a laptop computer.)

We are on our way home; we were in Billy Bob's Texas at Fort Worth over the weekend; we saw Loretta Lynn in concert there.
It isn't the first time I have seen Loretta Lynn perform; oh, no: I have seen her OODLES of times! I love her music and stuff, but I am more of a Reba McEntire fan (SORry, Loretta, and SORry, Ronee'!!). Reba McEntire is more my speed! Now, my sister, Ronee' the Rugrat (my nickname for her!), is a BIG TIME Loretta Lynn fan; she has loved her since she was practically a baby; and she has gotten to where she can sing about just all her songs from memory! She is really good, and she has opened shows for Loretta Lynn. She is that good; in fact, she is so good she has been on Star Search! (She lost.)
But Ronee' is NOT why I am writing this down. I am writing about Loretta, NOT Ronee'.
Anyway, we got to Billy Bob's Texas at about 7, and we looked around for a while and ate supper there. Then at about 9 we waited at the entrance to the area where Loretta was to perform, and we went to the souvenir table. I didn't get anything; I was wishing Reba was the one I was seeing instead of Loretta! :) We then went to our seats in the big showroom, where they had a huge stage set up; and we waited and we waited, and we waited...By the time the show was to start I was so sleepy I could barely keep my eyes open; but then Loretta Lynn came out after the CoalMiners (that's her band, you know) did a few opening songs; and Loretta came out to the cheers of the people. The cheers were so loud it made my hearing aids squeal, and I wanted to turn them off; but I knew I couldn't, or else I couldn't hear Loretta sing; and I definitely wanted to hear her sing! So I just turned down the sound on my hearing aids and watched the show as best as I could. I was getting mad at Ronee' because she was screaming her head off, and she was getting to be annoying.
Loretta was wearing a black pants and jacket outfit and an orange shirt underneath; and she really looked pretty. She sang all her hits, and she was on that stage at Fort Worth for over an hour, which is pretty good for an old lady. (She is in her 60's! That is OLD!!) But the song that got the most applause was "Coal Miner's Daughter", which is her biggest song. She then got off the stage, and went to her bus to go to wherever she was to play next.
Before the show we got to go backstage (mommy, daddy, Ronee', and myself), and we got to say hi to Loretta; but we didn't stay long, as she had to get ready for her show. She was still nice to us, and she always is. She is one of the nicest people I have ever met, and I am always glad she treats her fans nice, or else I would probably like somebody else! (HA!) :)
And that's my story, and I am sticking to it! Bye for now!! It's my bedtime; and I am getting stupid! Gotta' get to bed! Night! :)
