March 17--
Today is the day when President Bush speaks to our nation as a whole about what is going to happen regarding a war. Iraq has been making weapons of mass destruction, and then lying about it (they said they weren't making any when they really WERE). As a result, we may be going to war and trying to find the leader of that country, Saddam Hussein. (He is a very bad man; and Iraqis there have suffered because of his tyranny. He may have some connection to terrorism; and this is another reason why America wants to capture him..HOPEFULLY!.) In the meantime, we are still looking for Osama bin Laden and other people linked to terrorism; this war will only seem to add fuel to an already tense and touchy situation.
I am scared we may get attacked again if we go to war; and what the next attack will bring. I don't like to worry about such things; but I am just a kid; and I don't want to see something like what happened on September 11, 2001, happen ever again in our country! It was very upsetting; and too many innocent people died when they shouldn't have; and they died in a horrible, awful way! I still get upset whenever I think of the two World Trade Center Towers burning and then crashing to the ground; and now they are no longer there. And it hurts me because I knew some people (friends of friends I know) died in those attacks, and when I think of them no longer being alive, it just makes me sick inside!
I pray nothing bad happens to our country, and I pray those who DO hate us are found, caught, and punished because what they have done to America (and other nations like Kenya, India, and Israel) should NOT be left unsolved, and they should be PUNISHED! They killed a bunch of innocent people (even CHILDREN), and they have no remorse whatsoever for humanity! All they care about is getting "revenge" because "WE aren't like them, and they will do away with all people who won't obey to their evil beliefs". We didn't do anything to them except be born in a free nation; and I think they are jealous because we are free, and they are not, but that is NO reason to go on hating us or threatening to kill us! It is absurd! And it is CRAZY!! :(
Terrorism in all its ugly, evil ways MUST be stopped, and the SOONER, the BETTER we ALL will be!! This is why I think we are going to go to war, but I hope terrorism does end because of this. And we CAN'T do it ALONE; we need ALL the help we can possibly get!!

Today is St. Patrick's Day, and today, our school is throwing a party. We will have cookies and cake, and we will probably listen to Irish music and maybe do an Irish jig (although I can't, as I am on crutches! :) ). But I still love Irish music and dance, and I always have. I have a bit of Irish in me, on my mom's side, somewhere, and I guess this is why I like St. Patrick's Day so much!

I have been doing well, and last week, I read in the paper that medical people are figuring a way to make a shot for people who have allergies to peanuts (like me; I am DEATHLY allergic to peanuts; even licking a bit off a knife can make me very sick or possibly kill me!). If so, then I can get the shots, and after I get used to it, I can then eat things I presently can't. Like oatmeal cookies or peanut butter sandwiches, as two examples. I can smell them, but I can't eat, or I will get very sick in a hurry; and I often need to go to the hospital. That would be so neat if that happened; then I don't have to keep worrying about what I can eat or what I CAN'T eat!! :)
