A girl moves to the neighborhood where the Sandusky family lives. She is originally from Chattanooga, Tennessee. This is her story.
Hi! My name's Jamie-Leigh Anne Gardner, and I am 10 years old. I just moved here to Nashville, over the weekend, from Chattanooga; and already I have a brand new friend! :)
I have long, curly blonde hair and hazel eyes, and I am chubby; but that doesn't bother me none! I want to be a country singer, just like my favorite, Loretta Lynn! I sing sometimes at local Oprys in Tennessee, and it is a lot of fun! I haven't opened any shows for anyone yet, but I am a-sure hopin' to!
Mommy says I sing good; I have been singing country and gospel music since I was really small, like about 4, and I sang my first song when I was 4. I sang at an Opry, and the crowd loved me! Ever since, I've been hooked to the performing bug! :)
I am the youngest in my family. I have 3 older brothers. They are okay, but we sometimes fight, especially me and Jordan. He can be a pain! But he and I still love one another, as we SHOULD! I also have a mommy and daddy, and our granmaw lives with us, too. She's really old; she's somethin' like 89. But she is still as sharp as a tack, and she is always giving me candy! (One reason I am fat, I think!)
Besides singin' at Oprys, I also love to dance, ride my horse, "Midnight Blaze", and play with my dog, "Spike", and read. I also love to write stories and poems. I have notebooks full of my writings; and mommy is always telling me I ought to write a book! She says I write GOOD! :)
OH! Did I tell you, I just moved here, and I already have a friend? I just met him on Saturday, and he is cool! My new friend's name is Johnny Sandusky, and he is 10, like me, but he is small for his age, and he is in a wheelchair! He has something called muscle dystrophy. (I THINK that's what you call it!) Anyway, he can't walk well (when he DOES walk, he uses crutches!), but he isn't sad. He is a very happy little guy, and he is a whiz at video games! He promised me one day he would show me his collection of games, and he would teach me a game of Tetris or something!
Johnny also has a big family, and he has a mommy and daddy, too!
I can't wait to meet them!

This is great! I met Loretta Lynn when I was 8 so I can totally relate to Jaime-leigh's excitement about her! But the story itself is adorable with her acscent(SP?)and all! I also like the way you draw your characters together! Very good job.
