A child writes to her friends and her family and asks for their forgiveness after being so grouchy and moody lately.
March 15, 2003~~

Dear Family and Friends:

This is Ronee' Le-Anne, and I am writing to get some things off my mind, and to ask for your forgiveness.

I am sorry if I haven't been the "nice" little girl you've known me to be these past few weeks, but I am changing inside, and it's really starting to affect my emotions. I am becoming a woman, and the very thought of it terrifies me. I want to remain a child, but at the same token, I want to grow up, and I am entering that awkward "in-between" time. So please bear with me.

I also want to apologize for complaining about "things", be it my disabilities, how people treat me, or whatever. But I am getting fed up at being pitied or "noticed" by others in a negative way. I know I am disabled, and I know I can't get around as well as other people; but I wish they would stop being so condescending or uncomfortable around me. I am NOT an object to be pitied: I am a PERSON who happens to have a disability that is noticeable, and I am a PERSON who has FEELINGS. All I ever ask by others is to TREAT ME NORMALLY and treat me as THEY would want to be treated! It's only fair, and it is only using common sense!

I know there are others who have it far worse than I ever will, but it is hard to remember that sometimes, especially when I am hurting or feeling sick, and I sometimes forget. I am only human, and human beings sometimes forget or make mistakes, you know??

I will try to behave myself better from now on, and I will TRY to accept my lot in life, no matter how hard it may be at times. I may not always remember that, but if I forget, could you PLEAZE do me a favor? Could you just remind me if I get a bit too hardheaded or stubborn for your tastes? Maybe I need a good kick in the seat of my pants to remind me when I am acting like a horse's patoot!

Maybe I need to take my problems to the Cross and ask for Jesus' Help, 'cause you KNOW He'll help me, no matter WHAT I may be going through! I need to rely on Him for help, not just you guys! After all, doesn't Pastor Bilkey keep saying that Jesus is ALWAYS there, no matter WHAT you may be going through, at church? Maybe it is high time I start taking his advice and rely more on JESUS and less on ME!

Thank you for listening to me ~WHINE~ again, but this is more of an apology-type letter and less of a whine-session-type letter. I do hope you find it in your hearts to forgive me and accept my apology.

With Much Love, Ronee' Le-Anne Reaux, aged 10.

I am *~*~SORRY!*~*~*
