Dearest Children:
This is your mother writing. I am writing you a letter because I want you to know just how very special you are to me, and also that you are all very special to your Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ.
Some of you have been with me since the beginning (10 years, meaning you, Johnny and Ronee'), and others have been with me for over 7 years; and there are still others who have been with me for only a year or two at the most. Still, regardless of how long you have been with both your father and myself, you are still very much loved by us, and you are the world to us. You have brought us endless moments of joy and hope, even in the face of the most incredible circumstances; and you have touched many people with your beauty, grace, and overall courage.
In this family, there are NO favorites, and there is NO room for competition between kids. You are ALL equally and unconditionally loved by both your father and myself, and each and every one of you matters to us! This is why your father or I try to make time to spend with you, even if we do it as a group; still, we want to spend as much time with each and every one of you as humanly possible. At times, this is absolutely IMPOSSIBLE, so this where Jesus comes into play. He WILL make time for us to spend time with you; somehow, He ALWAYS provides!
People may sometimes treat you unfairly because of your obvious (or even not so obvious) disabilities, and that is so sad and unfortunate; but in Jesus' Eyes, you are ALL perfect, and He happens to love each and every one of you so very much, even more than your father or me. He would do ANYTHING for you, and He would much rather see you happy than sad; and if you give Him a chance, He WILL provide, even when you feel that He is so far away; but the truth of the matter is, dear children, is this: Jesus is RIGHT BESIDE you, as close as your right hand; and He is ALWAYS there, and He will NEVER, ever leave you! Jesus died for each and every one of us because He was so tired of seeing us live in such sin and squalor, and so HE made the Decision to die for our iniquities. He bore our pain and our sufferings, and He did it out of LOVE. And no matter what you may be going through, Jesus is right beside you, ready to hold you in His Strong and Everlasting Arms; and He is ready to wipe your tears or your fears away at a moment's notice.
Maybe you may not see the point in what I am trying to tell you in this letter, but it is something that God has placed into my heart, and I am letting those feelings be known in the form of this letter. You were made this way for a reason; maybe you may not understand why, but God and His Son, Jesus, sure do, and someday, when we get to Heaven, that Answer will be revealed to us in a very profound way. Yes, you may be disabled or "imperfect" in this world, but to Jesus, you ARE perfect, and He doesn't see your disabilities, your crutches, wheelchairs, missing limbs, blinded eyes, stopped up ears, or silent tongues: all He sees are children who shine with His Love and Grace, and it is that Love and Grace that has brought you to us and through the things you have endured in your lives.
If there is anything that Jesus has taught me through the brief years I have been saved (nearly 2 years now), He has taught me joy and compassion towards those who are hurting (maybe that is one reason I am a nurse; I don't know), and He has given me such a tender heart and spirit; and He has given me a vision of helping those children who are hurting inside. This is why your daddy and myself have adopted each and every one of you, because you were in need of love, a family, or a home, and Jesus granted our dearest wish of having a large family after our own three children (your brothers Aron and Pierre, and your sister L'Acadia) died. He knew we wanted children, so He brought you to us, to take away some of our sadness; and ever since, our lives have been nothing but one blessing after another.
There isn't one day since becoming saved that I don't thank Jesus for each and every one of you; you have all brought your daddy and myself unimaginable joy and hope, and that is reason enough to offer our Praise to Him. This is one reason we "drag" you children to church every week because we want you to learn of Jesus' Mercy and Love, and that He is nothing to be feared; and also, He will be able to help you with any problem you may happen to face, no matter how big or "insurmountable" it may seem.
Now, you have all just about asked Him into your lives, and because of that, you are all assured a Place in Heaven, and you don't ever have to worry about Satan or going to Hell because you are now all God's Chosen Children, and you belong to Him, NOT Satan; and Satan can NEVER take you away from God..EVER. You are all covered with the Saving Blood of Jesus Christ, and because of that, you are all sanctified and will always be. Oh, what a WONDERFUL day that will be when we all FINALLY see Jesus face to Face!
And perhaps the best news of all: you are ALL assured a Healing; and THAT is a GUARANTEED promise! If it isn't here on Earth, it WILL be in Heaven, and one day, your crutches, wheelchairs, and sick bodies will be NO MORE!
I certainly hope this letter blesses you because it sure has blessed ME! Thank you for being my Children, and thank you for your Love and Joy!
I love you all with all my heart and soul, and Jesus Loves you, too! May you be blessed with His Love, Grace, and Mercy!
As Always, Your Loving Mother. (((HUGS))) and XXXX's, too!
