Louisiana continues her daily journaling (as time permits), letting us know what is going on with her family and life. She also gives us an update on her son, Johnny.

Hello again, folks!
I am happy to report to you that my little son, Johnny, is home from the hospital, sooner than what we had expected: he was released earlier today, and he will be resting for a few days. He had a spell with his heart on Tuesday, the 2nd, and we figured that he would be in the hospital until sometime next week, but then, Dr. Shapiro examined him early this morning, and he called to give us the good news! Johnny was being "sprung"!
Now, Johnny will be on heart medication to keep his heart from beating too fast (he had a seizure and then a spell of tachycardia, or abnormally fast heart rhythm, and this was what caused him to go into the hospital in the first place), but he is otherwise, holding his own; and he feels so much better. If his heart acts up again, we'll have to call the paramedics, so they can convert his heart and shock it, to make it go back to its regular rhythm, and then, HOPEFULLY, things SHOULD be okay. I just hope that this doesn't happen again for a VERY long time!
As you can very well imagine, Ronee' is THRILLED that her brother is home; she has really missed him. She has wanted to go to see him at the hospital, but they don't let minors under 12 to visit patients; so she had to stay home. She was NOT happy. (She is 10 1/2, NOT quite there yet.) She is acting like a little mother hen, taking care of him and getting whatever he needs. She won't leave him alone for a second, for fear something may happen when she isn't around; but I laughingly tell Ronee' not to worry, as I am his mother, and that I am a nurse; and if anything SHOULD happen, I can help him!
Ronee'....such a little worry-wart she is!
As you can probably guess, Ronee' and Johnny are EXTREMELY close; they always have been.

Well, Johnny made it through the night without any problems; and so did my other kids. I love it when my kids have a good day or night; with special-needs kids or kids with chronic health problems, you NEVER know when a problem is going to crop up..or HOW. This is why I am forever diligent when it comes to the health and well-being of my kids; I have to, as I am their mother, and I have to be ready whenever an emergency, no matter HOW small, happens!
GREAT NEWS!! Your friend, Louisiana, is a (DRUM ROLL, PLEASE...) *~*PUBLISHED AUTHOR*~*!!!!!!!! My book, "A Family Made Out Of Miracles And Rainbows: The Sandusky Family Story--A True Story of Love and International Adoption" was picked up by a publisher, Joy Christian Publishing, and so now I OFFICIALLY have a BOOK under my belt! I am OFFICIALLY an AUTHOR! I just got the letter yesterday, but with Johnny being in the hospital, and then released, and getting him settled back into the home routine, I didn't have time to check the mail yesterday! When I saw the envelope and then read the letter inside, Lord, I CRIED! I was SOOO happy! God has truly blessed me in a MAJORLY big way, and I am forever grateful to Him! Isn't God WONDERFUL?? He somehow manages to bless me and my family when we least expect it, and when He does, WOW, He does it in a POWERFUL Way!
What a Testimony I am going to have tomorrow when we go to church! There is BOUND to be much celebration for sure!!!! :D
Will have to continue later; Enriquesa and Kwame' have gotten into the flour, and now it is all over the floor and all over THEM....ICK, what a MESS! Gotta' clean them up; they look like two little snowmen!
Interesting and blessed story Karen. I went back and read the other sections and left reviews. It is nice that some sunshine came through in this story. Reading about the children and their problems kind of made me thankful in my own life and strife.
