My name is Eugene Wade Princeton-Peoples, but call me Gene. PLEASE!
I am 14 years old now. I live in Nashville, Tennessee, with my mom, Gloria, and my family on 397 Twin Rivers Lane. I have two older sisters (Evangeline and Ellen Irene) and two younger brothers (Kevin and Adam), as well as a younger sister (Lisa). Kevin and Lisa are the youngest, and Ellen is the oldest; Evangeline, Adam, and myself fit somewhere in the middle.
We are all healthy, no disabilities to speak of. Quite unlike our next door neighbors, the Sanduskys, who have a whole bunch of disabled children; plus the parents are both disabled.
I have lived in Nashville all my life; and I am now in the ninth grade at Donelson Senior High. I do okay in school, but I could find better ways to find ways to spend my time than to be sitting in a hot, stuffy classroom for six or more hours!
I am about 5'3" tall, skinny, and freckled; and I have very wavy ORANGE hair that is rather wavy and thick, and I also have blue-grey eyes that can change colors depending on what I am wearing. I look like your average teenaged boy, but I AM kind of short for my age.
I love to do many things, mainly play my fiddle (I have played the fiddle since I was about four; about 10 years now), and I love to read, watch science fiction stuff on television, skateboard, and play basketball and football. I also love spending time with my girlfriend, Barbara Sandusky, who happens to live right next door to me. Barbara is short and skinny, too, like me, but she has long blonde hair and brown eyes, and she has darker skin than I do. She tans so easily in the summer while I BURN. I also love to bowl, and I love to go to church. (I go to Christ Community Assembly of God, which is a Pentecostal church. I have been going there for only about six months, but already I have felt welcomed and loved there. I went there in late March, and I accepted Christ a month later.)
I am a fairly quiet and shy kid; don't really say much, but I do write a lot. I have written oodles of stories and poems, especially after 9-11-01; I have friends (such as my girlfriend) who lost friends in the attacks, and I still find it hard to deal with the tragic events and the horrible images that still sear my mind even nearly two years later (it WILL be 2 years on Thursday). I pray and hope that NOTHING of this magnitude EVER hits our shores again, and I pray to God each and every day for His Protecting Hand on our country and on our allies.
Barbara told me I should write on Authorsden. com, which is a site for writers; she says I am really good at it. She has written stuff on there; and she is really good. Maybe I'll take her word for it, but I really don't think I am good enough to have other people read my stuff; that would be TOO embarrassing, especially if they say bad things! I then couldn't live it down!
Tell him to read only the good stuff...not those behind the "NO-NO Screen"!!
LOL!! Welcome Gene...hope you like it at AD...95% of the authors are good people... 3% are okay...but the last 2%...be on the look out they ARE BAD>>>and I might be one of them.....lol!! Thats what Karen always say...she said I am a mess!!
So if you ever read me take it with a pinch of salt in the one hand...and a hanky in the other hand,...to wipe your tears...whether it is out of anger or laughter...or maybe even heartache!!
