Life is so very good to me.
I have so many wonderful things to be thankful for, and I have many wonderful friends plus a family who loves and cares about me.
Sure, I may have my health problems, and sure, I may not walk as well as you do, but hey...compared to a lot of people, I have it made. Whatever life throws at me, I can make it through because I have so many people pulling or praying for me, and with the Lord's help, I know I am in very good hands. I can still get around quite well on my crutches and braces, especially since having my knee surgery; and I am breathing better than I have been able to in a long time; I don't seem to be having as much trouble with it. I also have outgrown some of my allergies; and there are only a few things I am really truly allergic to. But I know better to stay away from things like bees, wasps, hornets, or fireants, or things like peanuts and penicillin. I also know to stay away from ragweed, which REALLY gets my hay fever in an uproar!
I feel better now than I have in a very long time, and I have my family and my Lord and Saviour to thank for that. I have been through some really wild experiences with my health, and I have nearly died; but by the Grace of God, I am still here; and I am still kickin'! :D
Oh, sure, I DO have my bad days; but then don't we ALL?? More often than not, I have been having more in the way of good days, and life for me is really starting to gel and get better and better!
I especially feel good because even though I may have my problems, I don't have it NEARLY as bad as a lot of people. I am NOT in a wheelchair ALL of the time, nor am I stuck in bed, unable to move or do anything for myself. I also can see like an eagle (I have very good eyesight) and hear with no problems. I also can think and figure things out with little or no difficulty, and I do very well in school, where I am now in the fifth grade. (School started last week, and so far, I love it!)
I also am not struggling with things like kidney or heart problems, or things like diabetes, cancer, or AIDS. I may have arthritis and asthma, but arthritis and asthma DON'T have ME, and I try to live my life to the best of my ability. I am quite healthy for a kid with health problems, and so far, I have had very little in the way of problems since my knee surgery and then my hospitalization for a staph infection (MY fault). I also have my mind intact, and for that I can be very grateful.
