Jafar Alam is a 28-year-old neo-urban poet from Toronto, Canada. Igniting the page with his eclectic style of writing, he infuses hip-hop, spirituality, love poems and activism into one. Alam’s poetry is a startling, soulful movement, with a voice that dances strong and beautifully on the ear. He made his spoken word debut in 2007 and was the recipient of an artistic achievement award for his works in 2008.
