TALES OF A CRITTER SITTER is a collection of vignettes that explain my personal catharsis, as well as the duties, responsibilities, challenges and most of all the humor in caring for critters and forming a bond with their owners.
The content is divided into three parts. Part 1 is my personal encounters which led me into the animal business. Part 2 describes my critter sitter experiences which are happy, comical, some unbelievable, others sad, but all are true. Part 3 contains stories shared by friends which are delightful and provide the reader with an insight into the animal world.
The last is a chapter about a zany crazy cat, Batman, a Cornish Rex who came into my life after the passing of my dog, Starsky. This quirky cat stole my heart as well as those who flocked to my store to see him. He was a celebrity everywhere he went and then he was gone…

The alarm was blaring, hurting my ears. As I escaped to the front of the house, two police officers walked up to me, "Who are you?" the taller one asked.
"I am the critter sitter," I responded, smiling.
They looked at each other oddly. "You're a critter sitter?"
"Yes," was the only response I could muster up. I explained why the alarm was tripped.
Satisfied, they walked away but I heard one of
them say, "Imagine, she's a critter sitter," and they laughed.
From that day on, I began to study, research, log, and feel exactly WHY I AM A CRITTER SITTER.
