He wrapped his hand around her braid and pulled her head back as his mouth claimed hers.
The kiss at the stage had started as a gentle kiss that had evolved with their growing passion, but this was beyond gentleness, beyond passion. It was a hungry, demanding kiss.
His free hand stroked down her back and over her bottom, and he lifted her to him, pressing her against his body. His tongue thrust deeply into her mouth as his hips moved against hers to match the stroking of his tongue.
Cassie was startled at first by the intensity of the kiss, but her body soon responded. A yearning she wasn't aware her body possessed seemed to gather in magnitude with each stroke of his tongue, each thrust of his hip, and she craved more.
Her hands moved up his chest to his neck, and she pulled herself closer to him. As her body demanded more, her hips moved to the rhythm his had set. Even when he pulled his mouth from hers, she still clung to him, refusing to release him.
"Cassie." His voice was a breathless whisper. "We have to go."
"Where are we going?" she asked, somewhat bewildered.
"To Paradise," he said with a smile. "And a lot sooner than you expect if we ever kiss like that again."
