SYNOPSIS

Rory Thunder was branded a rebel early on, like Elvis, and just like his father, Wild Bill.  After his parent’s divorce, Rory and his band produce a “hit” single. The band gets noticed and they open for the Rolling Stones. Several times along the way, he runs into Bob Dylan who gives him words of advice. The band makes it all the way to Woodstock with their hit single “Shockwave,” but due to a scheduling conflict they don’t perform. Rory takes it all in and lives the life of a rock star. He starts to drink heavily and experiments with drugs, much to the disappointment of his mother, brother and girlfriend,Sutzie. The gigs dry up, and tensions rise. Rory retreats to the Ozark Mountains to live as a hermit. It takes a stint in a migrant labor camp, and a warning from an Elvis look-alike to make his way back home and to value the relationships of those around him.

Rory realizes that Dylan was right: choose your idols well.
