This cookbook was written during my son's first tour in Iraq. I could not sleep at night so I got up and wrote recipes and poetry. These things came together  to form the cookbook "What's Cookyn' Crisalyn?" The dividers have my artwork or pictures of the soldiers in Iraq. It also is the beginning of my cartoon character of myself  "General Mom."  I trademarked this character and General Mom goes on anything that I write. This cookbook is where General Mom was introduced. All of these recipes is how I cook. The first recipe is my wine chicken because I emailed both of my children and told them that I was writing a cookbook. My son was in Iraq and my daughter was in Maryland and they both emailed me back without communicating to each other  and told me not to forget the wine chicken.  Putting that recipe first, was my way of telling them ok I did not forget.
