Picking up a broken piece of glass, Blaine threw it at the boy toucher, who'd finally finished wiping the water from its face. The glass landed on the thing's arm, but then bounced right off—no cut, blood, or anything. The toucher looked in our direction, but remained near the Jeep.
"They're like Superman," I said as we reached the gray house, remembering that bullets didn't work either. "Nothing seems to hurt them."
"The army's water does," Blaine pointed out. "That's their kryptonite."

Page-turner from beginning to end! Never a dull moment!
Wow! I read the first book in the series of the Touchers and couldn’t wait for the sequel to come out and so I ordered right away and it didn’t disappoint! The first book was great - reminded me of the Walking Dead which I love! Book two took over right where book one left off and the action was NON-STOP from the very beginning. The characters were great and how the touchers evolved got scarier and scarier but without giving anything away I really loved the ironic ending. I love it when I read a book and it stays with me for days and I think about it and the characters and that was this book for me 100%! Highly recommend!!

I'm a big fan of Susan Berliner's books. They draw me into the story. They're so beyond creative.
I read the first book "After the
Bubbles". I was looking forward to the sequel and was so excited to read it. I just finished it, and "Soldier Girl" didn't disappoint, I loved it!!! I got lost in the story of those hideous touchers. I actually screamed out loud at some parts of the story.
I highly recommend especially if you're a thriller or sci-fi fan - even if you're not

I have read all of Ms. Berliner’s books, so I’m obviously a big fan. This highly anticipated second book of the Toucher’s series was, as usual, enthralling, in-put-down-able, and satisfying as hell. I urge all fans and devotees of the supernatural genre to read just one of her delightful and uniquely styled books, and promise you, too, will become enthralled with her works.
