Spirituality has been a well discussed topic over many years and this book presents the views of philosophers and recent views from research done in an author's network. Varied thoughts an beliefs are revealed.
Based on many years of research, thought and discussion the author researched people's beliefs and thoughts on spirituality. And after writing an article on self identity and having established the belief that each person has a body and a mind and thus he/she is not the body or the mind, he logically concluded that each person is a spirit being who possesses a body and a mind.
These thoughts led him to wonder whether humankind is actually aware of this fact and, if so, what their beliefs would be in terms of spirituality. This is what prompted the survey he held in the Gather Writer;s Network and his findings are interesting and fascinating. The responses were varied, ranging from very simple to highly philisophic to extremely religious.
Reading this book will inspire readers to questioning their own identity and would lead to expanded thoughts on spirituality.

What is spirituality? Are we actually aware of what we are referring to when we speak of spirituality, or do we simply make vacant reference to it in terms of God, religion, salvation?
Many people are confused about the meaning of the word or term, spirituality. Some believe that it merely describes a state of mind, others believe it is a state of being, yet others see it as a lifestyle, and others as a religious state. Some believe it is only to do with Eastern Mysticism.
Most Charismatic and Pentecostal Christians believe it to be the state one takes on if one is a 'born again' Christian. In all sincerity though some believe that “being spiritual” puts one in a certain state of holiness, a closeness to God with a purity of heart.
Here are some meaningless statements:
One should be spiritual
Become more spiritual
He or she is very spiritual
There is a spiritual atmosphere
I feel very spiritual
He is spiritually empty
And many more like these
These are meaningless statements because we are so trapped in living our lives in the physical realm on Earth that we forget that we are spirit beings from eternity and to eternity, who possess a physical body and a mind/soul. Most of us believe that we are simply “people” in the animal or creature sense, each one with a personality and a soul; the soul to be saved in order to achieve eternal life.
Whilst living trapped worldly lives, controlled by the World System, which includes religion, we become totally attached to materiality, addictions arise and these control us. And many firmly believe that this is the true and only sense of life......
