My daughter is now an adult. She has begun a new chapter in her life with her new husband. I wanted to leave something for my daughter and my future granddaughters that would help them become the women God has called them to be. The words of this book came from inside my heart. I want my daughter to know she can have everything life has to offer. Life is so hard, especially when you don't realize God is there to help guide you and instruct you. The pages of this book contain all the wisdom, experience, and knowledge I have gained over the years from being a daughter, a wife, a mother and a friend. I want to pass whatever knowledge I have gained in my life to my daughter to help make her life just a little bit easier and a whole lot more happier.
However, this book isn't simply for my daughter. Any woman, whether single, married, widowed, divorced, young, old, with children or without children, can gain knowledge and understanding about being a complete woman of grace and excellence. Being a woman of grace & excellence isn't who you are, or what you do. Having success or fame doesn't guarantee you will be a woman of excellence. That is attained by what you have inside. Being a woman of grace & excellence is achieved by what is in your mind and spirit. Read the book and realize you have the power to be anything you want to be and can do anything God as called you to do. You have everything you need right inside yourself, simply learn how to bring it out and make your life excel with greatness.

A woman of grace and excellence is an independent woman. She knows who she is and is true to herself. An independent woman does not need to have a man in her life to fulfill her, to take care of her, to see she isn’t lonely, or to provide for her financially; she chooses to have a man in her life to complement her and to be a partner with her. He is a part of her life because she wants him to be. Being an independent woman means she has confidence in herself but still allows herself to be humble. She knows to build on her strengths and not her weaknesses. She uses her weaknesses and mistakes as stepping stones, as examples to better herself, and doesn’t allow them to keep her down. Being independent, she is able to pick herself up and move forward with her life despite her circumstances. An independent woman is strong, both emotionally and spiritually. She values her own femininity while not being afraid to stand on her own two feet and speak out for what she believes is right. She doesn’t worry about what other people think or say about her. She doesn’t let others define who she is or who they think she should be. She likes herself for who she is. A woman of emotional independence has the ability to deal with her own problems, and is not dependent on another to validate her self-esteem. Men and women are very different, in that men react from their heads and women react from their hearts. Men tend to use logic, while women use their heart as a motivator. A woman’s intuition stems from an intuitive awareness to something. It’s something that a woman senses in her inner being; in her heart. It’s like a gut feeling. An independent woman listens to her intuition and does not allow her opinion to be compromised. A woman of independence also can think for herself. She is smart enough to value the opinions and suggestions of others, but is able to stand by her own beliefs and make the decisions that are right for her, despite what others may say. Being independent means she doesn’t allow others to dictate what she thinks or feels. She doesn’t simply say yes in order to avoid hurt feelings or to appease someone else. Being a woman of financial independence means she has more freedom to make wise choices, and chooses what best suits her needs. Financial independence gives her greater self-worth and self-esteem. A woman of independence is courageous. She goes after what she knows she wants and needs. She isn’t afraid to take chances and she isn’t afraid to become the woman she was meant to be. She knows God has a purpose for her life and she isn’t afraid to go after that purpose. She is diligent and committed to being the best person she can possibly be.
