Mountain dough spin click
Mountain stands there
beside the woods
spin spin
dough spins
that's the click he sings
Humorous the net
and the city that goes to rest
restless the light
and spins that will vest
Hall-Mark he walks through
with purchase
the doll and his dough
while not spending a lot
He runs to his truck
spins the wheel and it thrusts
into the woods and the mountains
in front of him they last
Cartoon pictures he sees
and his classical music welcomes the guests
he found the dough
and its insignificance
The net the dough hangs
and the crust the pumpkin pie he eats
just goofy as he was
and he will spend his time
after all it lasts
Some cookies
and blueberry muffin
with a drink at least
when he spend his time
with the rest
Walking for Jesus mountain dough protests
after he is making his nightmare go away
just to spare an eyesight
he is not the only one gets a rest
and spins the dough it clicks
to claim the glory and it is a must

Review for Imminent Ferns
Imminent Ferns is a collection of thought provoking and insightful poetry
written by Chinese author, Sha Yan. While English is Sha Yan's second
language, he has the rare gift of setting onto paper the simple events,
common to all of us, in such a way that many of his words will strike a
chord with his thoughtful readers. Although, because of the language
barrier, some of the beauty and insights of Sha Yan's thoughts were lost, I
found several poems that held within their lines, shining jewels of insight
and beauty. I loved the final line of That Feminist Calls Upon Me that
reads:
"One day I woke up
looking at the poster on my wall
it was old I thought
maybe I would sell it."
And the profoundly simple line at the end of Whine, Lost and Found:
"Yes, I lost my poetry book,
But I did not loose myself."
I laughed aloud at the line in Seven Days in a Week:
"So,I found living without money is very boring."
One of my favorite lines in the book came from Mountain Home Mischief:
"Men descend
from grave to grave
and women cheer
while picking strawberries
pretend happiness in the grief."
And finally, this jewel from Intentions Clay:
"When twilight
Twilight shines
You spare some moments thinking
I would like to shine sometimes too
Why not, after all, you are human being."

poetry.

Imminent Ferns by Sha Yan is a fantastic collection of poetry featuring many different types. The poems seem to explain the different aspects of the poet’s life. The rollercoaster ride of emotions could be felt as I read each page. This is a definite must read.
This is a book of free verse poetry that addresses the seven main tests in life and offers some sensible solutions to passing those tests with minimal discomfort.
