Wasn’t taught too much about money and finance
Just seen peoples display of romance
And heard about the sour side of relationships
Came to understand if you love someone unselfishly they call you whipped
Which
Can cause one to shy away from giving their all
From giving all they are capable of giving
That sex and clubbing is the height of living
For some
And if you forgive over and over some may call you dumb
My point is
Isn’t there more to live for?
Isn’t there more to learn?
Something deep in me desires and yearns
For deeper understanding
For more wisdom and knowledge
The information not taught in college
The information you obtain as you go through life
The info you make note of and observe
The things and situations that take so much out of you
And the things that give you serge
I’m eager to get to bottom of things
Fulfill some dreams
And shout that my environment didn’t get the best of me
I’ve been redeemed and given a new way of life
A new way to live
