When David wakes up surrounded by strangers dressed in white gowns chanting praise to a name as unfamiliar to him as his new environment, he is quick to realize that he carries no memory of how he arrived. In fact, he has little recollection of anything before this very moment. The only thing sure and real to him are the strange faces staring down at him with tears of glee. Together in banded glory they shout and cry out the name of a prophet they call, John Cauliflower.
For so long they have waited for a prophecy to be fulfilled; the 'great one' to be sent from the heavens to bring them salvation. Finally, here he lay before them in all his human form.
In this psychological tale of human will and dismay, a man named, David Banner awakens in a place very different than his home surrounded by peculiar strangers with crudely shaven heads wearing filthy white gowns. For them, this is a day of praise to their almighty prophet, John Cauliflower. For David, however, it is a day of fear and unfamiliarity as he holds no memory of how he arrived here and only glimpses of his life before. These strange people led by ruthlessness and strict custom have been waiting for the prophesied ‘great one’ to be sent from the heavens. In his struggles to survive and escape this forsaken place somewhere secluded in a dense wilderness, David will fight the demons within himself as well as those around him dressed in white fabric and bearing smiles of lunacy.
This novel is a story of human fragileness and desperation wrapped up in a dark and gritty body of words.

There were screams outside my tent at all hours of the day and night. No longer were they only cries of joy and religious praise but of pain and begging for my hand of mercy. The dying ones cried out to me in the last desperate moments of life, having given up on The Prophet’s good name and The Master’s almighty word. As death called for them it was as if they finally saw a glimmer of reality and saw this place for what it really is; a sham run by a false god speaking in the name of a false prophet. These were the ones abandoned by the rest, left to die at my doorstep, their bodies taken away after a final breath. Though nothing was ever said, I knew how the others felt about them. Their gestures reeked of rejection and disappointment, for these were the frail ones who abandoned the word of John Cauliflower while the rest of them remained patient, obedient, waiting for the prophecy to be fulfilled.
