A Crime Mystery
Colin Shooter, the Assistant Head of the British MI4, and Paul Hudson, an MI4 Agent, come together to investigate 18 narcotics-related deaths. Special agents are called upon to use their expertise to solve the case. Colin and his team suspect the hand of a drug lord Carlos Alonso behind these deaths. But is he the man they are looking for? Jason Clay also joins the investigation team. Jason is a brilliant man who knows his stuff very well. The book is a fast read. The scenes still flash before my eyes. I appreciate author David for bringing the best of action sequences in the novel. There were many thrilling moments in the story when Ogunkoya places his luggage on the table before drug detection squad, I felt like sitting at the edge of the seat and watching a thriller movie.
The story is packed with vibrant characters and surprising twists and turns. Though we have many good and bad guys in the novel, the one by name Broadbent stole my heart. His character was unique and I would say he actually fits the title "Marathon to a Million Dollars". His nature and his attitude towards life are beautifully written, and the unprecedented move he takes in the story captures our attention. David Snowdon has shaped every character well. The book “Marathon To A Million Dollars” is a great read from beginning to end.

An Action-Packed Crime Thriller
Gloria Thompson, a British citizen, suddenly died at Heathrow Airport - she suddenly fainted while waiting for her baggage. Doctors found that she was full of cocaine. It was the 18th high-profile, drug-related death in six weeks. Every single death was drug-related and either happened on the airplane or at the airports. Every single one of the individuals had consumed substantial quantities of drugs that had ruptured inside them, leading to sudden death. These high-profile, drug-related deaths seemed too suspicious to be mere coincidence.
Agents believed that the incidents might be linked. Someone in the world is making a financial killing at the cost of these people. Suspicion falls on Carlos Alonso and Pablo Reid. Carlos Alonso was a Columbian drug baron and one of the most wicked people on earth. Pablo Reid was a Trinidad citizen based in Miami. MI4 Chief Cowland, MI4 Agent Paul Hudson, and Special Agents Janet Bond and Jason Clay come together to track down the culprit. Jason Clay had 18 years of international espionage experience. He was the best the British Intelligence had to offer.
Each character in the book “Marathon To A Million Dollars” displays strong characteristics and personalities. The story is very engaging thanks to David Snowdon’s passionate involvement.
