A collection of poems and stories, most of which were written by the book's author, Barbara J. Forsyth who lives in Ontario, California with her husband, Sidney. The premise, that God takes the unpleasant and challenging events that happen to people who trust His Son, Jesus, and turns them into His joy, is exemplified in each of the poems and stories.
The book was edited by Author's Den member Thomas M Parsons, whose friendship with Ms. Forsyth began more than 40 years ago when both were young people at the First Baptist Church of Lincoln Park, Michigan. They went their separate ways in the mid 1960s, but were brought together again via the Internet to work on this book. The story of how that came to be is told in the book.
The book is intended to be an encouragement to Christians who are working through challenges in their lives.

Every day someone dies. There is weeping and mourning for that loved one, by family members, friends, associates and acquaintances. Sometimes people, shocked by the loss, will deny its reality. “No, no it could not happen. I don’t believe it!” they will say. But God says He will turn the weeping and mourning into joy.
The process by which a person who is trusting God overcomes the sorrow of the loss of a loved one includes studying the Bible, prayer and encouragement from talking with friends and Christian counselors. This book is set up to guide you through the stages of grieving. Depending on which author you are reading, there are up to ten distinct stages of grief.
