The story is set in the beautiful Lake Michigan town of Frankfurt, Michigan. This is the home of Tyler Williams, the young man with the mystery about his past, and his girlfriend, Kristen Hanson. The story also centers around Ellen Gray who works at Gloria's Place, a group of ten cabins located in the deep northwoods of the Great Lakes. There are also diary entries written by the mysterious Danielle Appelbaum. The story weaves these individuals' stories together, revealing the truth at the end. There are some twists in the plot to keep it interesting.
