Micah is in the midst of a mid-life crisis. His whole life seems to stretch out before him like a long highway, endless, monotonous, lonely. His job as a sportswriter used to give him such a buzz that he had sacrificed his marriage to the long-suffering Alice. He has his friends, his two children, tries to enjoy the mindless singles scene, but all the while he knows there is something missing. A random act of violence forces him to reasses his entire existence, and Micah takes to the highway in earnest, searching for meaning and a signpost to point his life in the right direction once more.
