It's inspiring, showing kids that people are not always what they appear to be. It's beautiful, designed with fun and clever illustrations that contain a bit of their own mystery. It's not gender-specific: girls will love the glitter and rainbows, boys will love the racing competition and hint of the "haunted." Shelley Awad has found a winning combination!

Wonderful Children's Book
I just finished reading "The Greenhouse Kids, Dan Delion's Secret" by Shelley Awad. Shelley's charming book is filled with intrigue and whimsical, memorable characters (like friends we went to school with.) All these components together make for a fascinating read. Shelley transports her readers into her magical world making this book a real page turner. Anyone who likes children books will find this a real work of art. I think the author has a great career ahead of her. Since I'm a visual person, I love the creative illustrations because it's so easy for me to picture the characters while reading this lovely story. My favorite entity is "Lucinda, the Ladybug" because of her insightfulness, integrity and wisdom. She's really an educator of life's lessons and shows the "Green House Kids" how to attain their life goals by simply trying to succeed.


A Child's Adventure
The Greenhouse Kids, Dan Delion's Secret is a wonderful childrens book. Before I purchased the product, I would want to know that it was educational,meaningful and could relate to childrens' lives and experiences. This book does all of that. The story line is an adventure which has a mystery line that makes you want to keep reading the book to see what the mystery is all about. The characters in the story are children with names of flowers and plants and their first and last names are named after flowers and plants and that is why they are so special. The book teaches children to believe in themselves, to face their fears and to conquer them. It also teaches acceptance of others and to stand up to bullys. The story line shows how the curiosity in Dan Delion gave him the courage to go into the so called haunted house and to dicover the Greenhouse and Lucinda the LadyBug. It was interesting how the Bully, Jason could not see the Greenhouse, only the children who had a pure open heart were able to see it.The colourful embossed little book draws the attention of children and adults to the child within. The last chapter arouses and excites the reader for the next adventure with the unamed seeds to come. I highly recommend this book for schools and libraries for childrens' reading. I am a Mother of seven children and eleven Grandchildren and a retired businesswoman who ran twelve businesses in the past forty years. In my opinion, Shelley Awad is a wonderful writer and I look forward to her next book.
