Thus things are set in motion that has Talia struggling to discover who she is. Who can she turn to? Her mentor Victor Kane, or the stranger who she is drawn to in ways she does not understand. When a murder happens in town, Talia soon discovers that the life she can't remember could kill her.

Carol A. Guy has won herself a new fan! Shifter stories are my favorite reads, so I know what I am talking about. This is very well written, with an intriging plot that has smart and capable characters. You felt Talia's confusion and struggle with not remembering her past life. You cheered for Victor Kane, her mentor and friend. And you lusted after Lucas Knight. A gripping read you won't want to put down till the end!
