Al Silio, now retired, tells his story about how his "guy's only" vacation with his two lifelong friends turns into an adventure when they overhear a terrorist plot. On their way to Las Vegas, while they are waiting for their connecting flight in Dallas, they overhear two Muslim men talking about a plan to terrorize America with an explosive device at a football stadium. They try to tell the TSA about it but it is dismissed as old men who have watched too many movies. When the terrorists abduct one of Al’s friends, he has to come up with a rescue plan. After the escape, Al and his friends follow the terrorism trail and learn that the plan involves a major assault on six American football stadiums. In two days, on Sunday, other terrorists involved in the plot will detonate explosives, hidden in Budweiser beer kegs, at football stadiums during the games.

There I was stuck at the Dallas Ft. Worth airport with my two friends. I was nursing a beer at Chilis’ bar and watching CNN on the overhead television, listening to the same news over and over again. Ray had just returned from talking to the airline agent about our flight and Dave sat next to me gazing around at the people in the restaurant.
I felt a nudge.
“Hey Al, I was listening to those guys at the table over there.” He nodded in the direction of two Middle Eastern men. “They’re speaking in Arabic and are plotting an attack here in Dallas.”
“Dave, what are you talking about?”
He whispered, “Those men, I heard them. Not only that but it’s part of a major conspiracy.”
“You heard them speaking in Arabic, and that’s what you got out of it?”
“They said the plan involves other sites in other states at precisely the
same time.”
“Look, Ray just spoke with the girl at the counter, and our flight’s going to leave in 30 minutes. We don’t have time for this.”
“I’m telling you; we’ve got to do something about it.”
“Are you sure you interpreted what they said correctly? This wouldn’t be the first time you screwed up.”
There was a long delay for our connecting flight to Las Vegas. We arrived on time at the Dallas Ft. Worth airport but our connecting flight was late coming in from wherever so we had been stuck in the airport for three hours. We were sitting at Chilis’ bar in the airport having a couple of beers waiting for information about our connecting flight. Ray, after returning with our flight information, was talking to this lovely blonde about how she should plan for retirement and what to invest in. I doubt he heard a word Dave said.
