TRINITY LANE
She seen them as resin,
their soul,
burning within the glass of life
She felt something was wrong,
puzzled,
who would do that, why?
She heard it as sexy,
the song,
luring her drive to it’s painful edge
She felt muscles release
the tugging
from every action she fledged
Was she seeing herself
in a cartoon,
that she didn’t sketch?
Was she seeing herself
in a movie,
that she didn’t direct?
What little was she
going to gain
in this satisfaction of tempt?
What little did she know,
her soul
was about to be stretched?
Finally,
in a lustful euphoria grip
In a bloody mix with vampire spit
A no name
to the devils fame
The streets claim,
it’s a game
Tasting Satans’ lust
on Trinity Lane
She looked up to the sky,
asked why,
Why, do I; we all die?
The street said she was an Angel
The street said, maybe a Demon
She said, no
I’ am a poet
Average,
they just smiled,
They said, write about us
She thought-
Things on Trinity Lane just can’t be known
They are just flat out disgusting alone
A voice told her,
Angels will rescue you
You have to cry out for God,
you do
She finally felt
the calling of the spirit,
struggled to the gate
She didn’t look back,
she knew the rest
were crawling
in the slaughter
as the demons ate
