In the poem “The Tale of Many Men,” Eric L Farrell writes, “It’s a spiritual battle no man wins alone/ We’re prodigal children and we need to come home.” This is true to heart, because we all have spiritual battles in life that we must overcome. We can’t do it alone, so Jesus is calling His children to come home.
One of the problems that we face is clearly said in the poem, “Sometimes We Fall” by Will Holmes Jr., when he writes, “Sometimes we close our ears to the truth for fear that we may hear it.” The answer to that problem is given in the poem “My Prayer,” when Holmes writes, “Lord give me the ear to listen so I can hear You when You speak.”
The spirit of the book is enhanced because it shows two poets writing at two separate times, with the Holy Spirit of God keeping them on one accord!

It's like a contemporary companion to the Word of God, and it's great the way they ground their poetry in the Word by providing scripture.
