It was cold and windy in Wisconsin. The snow was falling, the wind was howling, the roads were drifted shut. The pugs were in their library munching on treats, drinking hot tea, watching a movie and playing a board game. They were having a grand time. They were giggling, singing and gulping their tea. Ingah was reading the Bingo numbers while the other two pugs played the game. Just when Bea yelled, “BINGO!!!!” They heard a loud crunch, swoosh and a thump. The lights went out, the movie went blank and the background music shut down.

The Pug Series continues with The Sunnyset Pugs by Lela LaBree Stute. In this adventure, the Pugs are stuck at home in a snowstorm with no electric or phone. They must find a way to eat, stay warm, and occupy themselves until the storm passes.
The Sunnyset Pugs is a fun story that young readers will enjoy. As always, the pages are filled with full color photos taken by the author herself. I give this one four stars****.

The Sunnyset Pugs was an excellent book on how siblings can work together and have an excellent outcome. I absolutely loved this book. Living in ND where I grew up in the country with lots of snowstorms and getting snowed in once in a while, I could actually put myself in their shoes. How difficult it was for our parents to make sure we were warm and o.k. and how fun it was for the kids to be snowed in and to not have electricity and find something else to entertain us with.The pugs had that same adventure. I love how Bea takes over in the parent role/big sister role. She feels so important. She just takes right over and takes care of her little sisters. Another great lesson for siblings to learn, taking care of each other in hard difficult times. Great book.
