As I went running from the hotel room almost blindly, I plowed smack dab into a man standing on the sidewalk. I didn't even notice him standing there. He was taking pictures of a fancy black car that had just skidded into a fire hydrant. I collided with him so hard I knocked his camera completely out of his hands. He and his camera went sailing in one direction and I went sliding feet first in the other. I had landed on my butt only slightly breaking my fall with my hands, but began sliding immediately, straight toward the hydrant.
