Between the covers of this book one will find a collection of philosophical thoughts, poems, and prose. It's always amazing what can be found in a bird's nest that the creature gathers in the pursuit of feathering her temporary abode. We open our eyes reluctantly to the dawn,
Wondering what this new light holds.
It's not the light of yesterday,
That light is gone forever,
Each dawn is a new day's beginning,
Each day's beginning is a chance to start anew,
Making of life what we would want to make of it,
If only we have the courage to step forth and be ourselves.
To be ourselves despite the opinions of others,
Despite the pompous acts of others.
We can do anything we set our goals for faithfully,
We can be assured we are indeed good,
Not in all things, maybe, but in some things at least.
And only because we have tried,
Can we indeed accomplish self worth,
While realizing we are not really born equal,
But equal only through our own efforts to reason.
