Everyone knows animals are a blessing and important in our lives. They are so close to human that it's phenomenal. They can be that soft cushion to lean on, that open and alert mind for our protection and that listening ear or shoulder to cry on. They deserve the upmost respect in our world. Being given a written, oral and reading assignment at age eleven author decided to recapture and revise these two fictional dog stories. In Hero, an anonymous dog who seems lost finds his way to a lonely girl's heart. She's mean to him at first but he ends up saving her life. In Oscar, Angel and Pillar a boy discovers two dogs can talk and no one believes him...yet. Both stories are heartwarming and proves the power of an animal's love, strength and courage. Most importantly, the bond between animal and man is never to be underestimated!
