A lot of helpful hints, tips and information
"Christie's Rut-Busting Book for Authors is a great resource, not only for new authors, but even experienced authors like me (15 books published to date) can find a lot of helpful hints, tips and information. It's well-organized, taking the would-be author from the very beginning of wanting to write (which she calls the "liminal"stage) through finding a time and place to write in a busy schedule, organizing your story or manuscript, then how to find all the people you need (agent,publisher, editor, book designer, etc.) to produce a professionally finished copy. She discusses the pros and cons of self-publishing as opposed to getting a publisher, and everything in between. I especially liked the section on promotion,which was very helpful. It seems that everyone is writing self-help or do-it-yourself (DIY) books these days. At first I thought this book was about writer's block, but after I read further I can see that would definitely be a help those "thinking about writing books." And I can see from your reviews that this and your other books are very well received and your awards earned.
All my life I have shied away from self-help books except for official instructions on how to accomplish something. I'm very good at learning what I need to know. As far as your book is concerned, the only thing that I'm not well versed in, is promotion. But I have a very good book, 90 Ways To Promote Your Book In 90 Days, that I've only gone 10 days on, and that is my problem. I've never been a very good salesman and don't like rejection. But I've had a lot of success to offset seeking help and never get in a rut when it comes to writing, currently writing two books that I've put off for a very long time and writing short stories every time I come up with an idea.
