Are you so busy taking care of everyone else in your life you have forgotten about taking care of yourself? Our focus on creating healthy relationships with others sometimes means we neglect ourselves; the importance of who we are and what we want out of life may get lost. How do you create a healthy relationship with yourself?
Choosing Me Now will help you understand yourself and why you do the things you do. Determining your specific need-strength profile is the first step. Every one of us has five genetically-programmed basic human needs, but the ones that are strongest in you may not be the ones that are strongest in others, including those that are close to you.
Before you can practice self-care, you need to know yourself. This is what I have termed Strategic Self-Care. Practicing Strategic Self-Care means learning what you need most and targeting that area first to get the most mileage from your efforts.

Just what I needed..
I am going through a life change. The love of my life broke up with me and is happy with someone else. I am having a hard time with recognizing that I always put him before me. I cried at some points because it described me perfectly. There are a lot of changes I need to make to start loving my Self. Thank you, Kim for your beautiful writing and wisdom!
Life Changing Book
LIFE CHANGING BOOK!
Life changing thought process.
Because of this book, I’ve been able to make major life changes that I was uncomfortable doing prior.
The primary change was moving from Chicago to Sarasota, at age 63, not knowing anyone in Sarasota.
It’s been a wonderful life enhancing change for me.
I’ve always been a caretaker personality, but it was draining me dry emotionally, physically and financially. CHOOSING ME NOW, made me realize that the main person I need to take care of is Me or eventually there will be nothing left to give others.
Kim Olver’s book is in good company.
The Bible commands us to Love Our Neighbor As Our Self. If we don’t love and nurture ourself and make us the best version of ourself, how can we possibly love others well?
I highly recommend Choosing Me Now!
Thank you Kim Olver
