Melody and Bane go to meet the Wizard, Zeal.
They notice that the seasons are lasting only a few hours, and are minutes apart.
The dragons are getting confused, flying around every couple of hours instead of hibernating for months.
Just as the problems continue, Zeal arrives with daunting news- more dragons have been bred.
They go on a quest, hoping to sort the seasons out quickly, by searching for the Ice bracelet.

Magic continues to fail around them, and it becomes apparent that Melody, who's power is linked to her emotions, can save the magic from dying in their world.
However, the time was becoming short- and Bane is forced to make a decision to force Melody to use her power.
