Hath no Fury is about REAL magic. While the storyline is a fictional, any paranormal elements are actually based on real events personally observed in research or relayed by very credible witnesses.
Set in the 1970’s, Mark and Amy, the central characters of the story, live a life of discovery and wonder amidst a secret world of magic practitioners. As they mature, they discover their own magic and a new facet to their friendship. The demon controlled the man’s actions. It caused him to perform acts that, even in the deepest places of his id and lust, he would never have even considered. Not that he was a good man by any stretch of the imagination. His personality was cold and evil in ways that would give a hardened criminal a case of the chills.
The demon, however, acted on its own desires, free from any human morality. Acts of sex and acts of murder were only tools to satisfy its lust and to gain power.
This particular act of lust was especially satisfying to the demon. He had given the man the guise of one who would please the woman. He knew the human man would have sex with just about anyone once he became aroused.
The night was the festival of all Hallows eve. This night is when the veil between the worlds of humans and the world beyond were the thinnest. The man made his way to the woman’s bedroom. The demon had piqued his desire. His passion was powerful and borderline violent. Her desire rose to meet his.
The improbability of the guise the demon projected about the man was irrelevant to the woman. The appearance of her former love was her deepest and most desperate wish. Her longing removed all common sense usually found in women. It removed her doubts of the near impossible nature of the encounter with a man who was not hers anymore.
The nature of his sexual technique was more powerful than anything she had experienced. She convinced herself that it was just a product of his renewed rising desire for her. A desire that had been previously left, unfulfilled.
The demon worked its control over the man giving him almost superhuman ability as it fulfilled their mutual needs again and again past the point when the woman would have thought was humanly possible.
Then they lie, spent and exhausted, the demon’s influence now left the man. Sensing this, the human man rose quietly in shame and disgust. He hoped she would be asleep or too tired to realize that the demon’s disguise had left him.
In truth, the woman had noticed his identity. At least she thought she had. The idea was so difficult to bear that her brain decided that it would rather believe the disguise than accept the truth it was now presented with. It was a more comfortable truth that her former love impossibly appeared.
Meanwhile, the demon no longer needed the man. Now the demon would soon have what it most desired, a child created by its own lust and the love of a willing partner. When the child was old enough, it would become an ideal host.
The human man knew that the child he had created, at the behest of the demon, would be destined for greatness and power. He knew that he would be there to guide the child toward greatness and share in its power.

The lesson of three, do a good deed and you will get back good plus three, do something bad, and the same applies with opposite consequences. This is a novel about Magick, and no, I did not misspell it. The magic I am familiar with is where a rabbit appears out of a hat or a woman is sawed in half. The Magick in this book is different therefore, the different spelling. I was asked to review this book and I am very happy I was because it would not have occurred to me to read it.
This story revolves around three main characters, Mark, Amy and Sam. Mark Kaplan never knew his parents and was raised and home schooled by his grandmother. His grandmother was also a Wiccan who practiced white magic. She taught Mark the power of Magick and included him in most of their rituals. Mark's closest friend in the world was Amy. They met when they were six years old and were never far from one another.
As Mark and Amy grew older, the friendship turned into something else. They had a bond with each other and Mark taught her some of his Magick. It turns out that Amy has strong powers and it is those powers that bring Samael into the picture. Sam and a demon share the same body. The demon wants Amy's power, and Sam wants her body, but Mark is an obstacle they have to get rid of.
When Mark is thirteen years old, his grandmother is murdered. This event changes his and Amy's life in ways that could never have been anticipated. Mark is sent into foster care, where the husband doesn't hesitate to abuse him. He is taken to another state out of the reach of those that love him, leaving him on his own. Amy's parents move and get an unlisted phone number making it impossible for Mark to call her. With Amy's grief over Mark disappearing, Sam comes to her rescue. He is a shoulder for her to cry on, and someone she can talk to. Was Mark's disappearance part of Sam's plan to get Amy? Was everything that happened part of Magick? Can Amy and Mark find each other after so many years? As young adults will they even care the way they once did?
This was a very interesting book about Magick, Satanism and even voodoo. It has love, betrayal, murder and good versus evil. As I stated previously this was not a book I would ordinarily have chosen to read but I loved it and I recommend it to anyone whether into Magick or not. This is book one and I look forward to reading more.

Loved it!!!!!!
This is a tough one to put down,,, never lost interest, not for a second... the story line never faltered, no confusion here ,, Hal Rappaport has a talent for bringing the reader into the story at a first-hand level,,, hope there are more where this one came from....
Amazingly talented author and captivating book
I truly loved this book! As a an avid book reader I'm always looking for the "next" book to read. This book had EVERYTHING! Mystery, witchcraft, love story, suspense, family drama and more! This book is truly a match for the Hunger Game series! I cannot say enough about how much I enjoyed reading it. I had a chance to read this book a few years ago before it hit amazon and I've been waiting three long years for a sequel! If you loved hunger games, charmed or just like reading....you'll love this book!
