On Beltane…
This is the time of mating and fertility. Livestock are run through two Beltane fires for purification. The fields are lush and green; Earth is fully awake and moving under our feet. Animals increase in size as they graze in pastures and grains grow tall and strong.
On Beltane, the union of the god and goddess is celebrated with maypoles and bonfires. A lusty and sensual time of year, we produce creative projects and art, songs and poems and make sweet, sweet love.
Take a deep breath… calm yourself.
Enter a meadow green with lush grasses and carpeted with wildflowers. The sun shines bright on the leaves of the big trees and warms your face. Let the energies of this time of chaotic creativity surround you. The aroma of flowers in full bloom fill the air with a heady scent as you feel the heart of Divinity, so carefully nurtured, blaze into bright flames. Dance with the fire of your Divinity, let the sweat run from your body as you pound your feet to the sound of the ancient drums. The pulsing Web glows with energy and you can feel so many other beings dancing with you. Share this energy and ecstasy with those around you and the Sacred Web.
Use pear or peach concentrate. Add a bunch of flowers such as jasmine, honeysuckle, rose, and orange. The flavors will reflect the richness and sensual nature of this Holy Day.
