Cancun, Mexico July 1975
For some strange reason most people choose to spend their honeymoon as far from where they reside as their finances will take them. It’s as if they follow an unwritten law that says if they consummate the marriage in idyllic surroundings, their future life with their mate will somehow be less mundane. Those who can afford it often leave the confines of even their own country to flock to what they perceive as more exotic lands.
One such place lies 625 miles southeast off the lowest tip of Texas. Facing the Gulf of Mexico, this Mecca for lovers sports long sandy beaches, alluring clear blue seas, and resort hotels catering to every imaginable desire. This Mexican jewel, this paradise, is called Cancun. For people used to life in Africa, it can be a fantasy land without rival.
Newlyweds Walker and Hether hadn’t left their hotel room for three whole days. On the morning of their forth, they finally ventured out. Walker, wearing only French briefs, looked exhausted. He scanned up and down the sandy beach for a spot not mobbed with people. Heather, wearing little more than a G-string and an amused smile, was bubbling eager to get to the water and she goosed Walker into running ahead of her on hot sand.
Walker, his feet burning, screamed, “Heather, you owe me big time for this.” He did the short version of the Irish jig getting to a lawn chair and umbrella combination facing the water. Once there, he jumped aboard, nearly collapsing the shaky contraption. He grabbed the umbrella pole and used it to gain a wobbly standup stability. Heather joined him, giggling at his ineptitude. She seemed oblivious to the sun baked white sand that now coated both their feet.
“I may never walk again,” Walker said, the vessels in his forehead bulging. He sank into the chair rubbing both feet, looking disappointed.
“Oh, quit complaining. I got you right where I want you, unable to run away.” With the silly little grin she knew drove Walker mad with passion, Heather climbed up on top. She reached behind and untied the strings holding up her bra. As she squirmed higher up his chest, Walker grew so aroused he feared his brief string briefs might burst.
“Why don’t you tie that thing back on and take your two life preservers into the water over there, so I can get some shuteye?”
“Okay,” Heather purred, “but you don’t know what you’re missing.” She batted her eyelashes toward Walker’s beleaguered view.”
“That’s the problem, I do know what I’m missing. I need my beauty sleep, if I’m ever to rise to the occasion again.” The double entendre wasn’t missed and Heather giggled with enthusiasm.
