I found out about this book on Mr. Ostroff's blog and after reading a description about it, came back to Amazon to purchase it on Kindle for Android. I found out about this book on Mr. Ostroff's blog and after reading a description about it, came back to Amazon to purchase it on Kindle for Android. I have to say, that Insectland was a great read, it was really descriptive and fun. I like the author's way of describing the protagonist as just a regular person who was abruptly caught up in a conflict between deceptively powerful minuscule alien species. The character didn't want to be involved but as he learned the possible consequences, he joins the insect Defender's struggle against the dragon-like Cyderion forces who serve the Dirus who were a conquering species with a focus on subjugating Earth. His adventures as a slave, with poor long-lived Emily and on... well, I won't give it away.

Interesting storyline. I enjoyed the unique-ness of Insectland. It kept me entertained and turning the page, wondering what would become of Dan as he struggled to be free from the Cyderion. Mr. Ostroff paints a picture with his words that make you see and feel his characters.

This is one of those stories that may well be for young teens/young adults, but adults will love it too. It is well written well crafted with minor mistakes that by no means detract from a great story. An enjoyable read with believable, likeable characters and well thought out Alien worlds. The Author is good, and I hope to see more of his work in the near future. Read it, you'll be glad you did!
