Who would ever believe that becoming an adult, a woman, would be so complex. I envisioned a world of never-ending ecstasy, soaring through life with little heartaches and having the world at my command. Forgetting those things I could not fathom and remembering those things that only brought elation. Yet those things I would like to forget are forever with me and those things I want to remember are withered.
As I share with you the trials and tribulations I triumphantly experienced, let me illustrate how one man carried the weight of my burdens and opened the door of faith so that I could see light in my darkest hour.
As an inspiration from God, I write this book that others may be strengthened through the journey of a daughter, a mother and a wife through the trials and tribulations of life. This is a true and living testimony of how one escaped hardships and tragedies and found inner peace in the midst of many storms.
May all who read this book be blessed and read it with the understanding that our strength comes from the inheritance given to us by our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and the responsibility of accepting or denying that inheritance is imparted solely to you.

It was the beginning of my adulthood that I married and thought life was so glorious. Pondering the aspiration of becoming a woman yet discerning that I was about to begin my journey in the balances of survival. Married at the age of eighteen, I searched for happiness and unconditional love. Being modestly introduced to Jesus, I was aware of his teachings but I had no idea how to embrace his promises. Feverishly elated about being a new wife and mother to be, I accepted the happiness set before me. Contingent upon my husband to fulfill my happiness, I fell into a co-dependent role. The dilemma of being a co-dependent is further characterized throughout my life. No matter how much attention my husband would give me it was not enough. I wanted more - yet I had no idea what I really needed. I went from the desire to be isolated to the need of being overwhelmed with affection.
