I'm not a person who reads a lot of "christian" works because I often feel like the person writing is judging those of us who may not be as strong or as sure in faith as the writer pretends to be. I've tried to pick books by writers who spoke TO me, not AT me. The only writer I've ever felt spoke to me was T.D. Jakes, that is, until I read Beyond the Veil.
