So you read the synopsis and you are still uncertain if you want to purchase this book, as the author of this book of course I am going to tell you to buy it- but let me tell you why. "And Even If I Did" tells a tale of three ladies who all have some issues they have to deal with in the pursuit to happiness and self discovery. The storyline is very realistic and you will be able to identify with the characters because they are so true to life. "And Even If I Did" touches on many taboo topics such as-rape, drug abuse, alcoholism, HIV, religion and death. This book is a quick easy read and you will enjoy. OK...OK...OK... So you want to know more?? Is there sex? Yeah! Scandal? Uh huh... Drama? You best believe it! Does this book deliver a message? ABSOLUTELY!!

No Way!
And Even If I Did was a great read that had me caught up and intrigued in the characters' lives. Not sure who my favorite character in this book was. Kisha Green makes you love each character in one moment and the next you want to knock the living daylights out them.
When I got to the end of the book with the character Simone, I threw the book down and said, "NO WAY!!!" I love a book that sends me for a loop.
I am definitely looking for more to come from Kisha Green.

Pleasant Surprise After Doubt
I've long admired Kisha Green her beauty, her drive and her lifeforce, but I started not to read this book because I let myself be swayed by the first two reviews. I went through the other good reviews and thought hm-m-m, I'll see for myself. I settled in on the weekend and I've been pleasantly surprised. Evidently, Ms. Green has revised her book and the glaring errors mentioned in the two reviews are no longer there.

And Even If I Did is true slice-of-life as it's lived by many young AA women these days. It is crisp, on edge, you-are-there writing and the depictions are heartwarming and heartrending. I "got" the characters and felt their pain, their hopes, their traumas. Simone, Taylor, and Jordan will leave you thrumming with their story. And at least one of the men they come to love is someone we'd all love. Kisha isn't yet the smooth, professional writer she will become when she goes further. She has something much more important -- a deep, heartfelt story to tell and she lets it all hang out.

Three women. Three lives. Three engrossing stories. I'll say read it if you dare. A good story stays with you and oh, does this one ever stay with you.

Vindictive Yet Triumphant
And Even if I Did by Kisha Green, is a story based around three successful
females; SImone, Jordan (Iesha) and Taylor. All three ladies are seemingly
as close as close can be, though one has to dig deeper then the surface to
find out the real deal. Simone- a successful relator has every material
item she could ever want or ask for, along with a man who is falling more
in more in love with her by the day. However due to her estranged
relationship with her mother as well as a horrific incident that took place
while she was in college, Simone is what many would consider bitter and
scorned and her demons cause her to live a life that is not only hurtful to
herself, but those she care about the most. Taylor-after living a fast and
carefree lifestyle has decided she no longer wants to be someone's jump
off, one night stand or hommie lover friend. She eventually finds just what
she is looking for in a man named Jaden when she least expects it; yet is
threatened with loosing that happiness once an old boyfriend contacts her
with some very disturbing news. Jordan aka Iesha is no stranger to the
realities of a dark past, and even after leaving her former life behind in
Maryland and starting anew in New Jersey, is haunted by what "was" and who
she may still be "in-debt to." Throughout the read, I found myself relating
here and there to each character because the authors communication of each
and their ordeals was done so quite vividly. Even the sub-characters played
an intricate role in the stories development and provided the reader with
important details that needed to be known in order to grasp the stories
concept. On the bright side, all three women thought highly of one another,
even if the praise wasn't always mentioned and all three shared a common
desire to grow. On the flip side, one of the three was nothing more than an
opportunist, a sheep in wolves clothing and had so many insecurities, she
played devils advocate from beginning to end. Although all three women
maintained their individual levels of success despite the obstacles they
were forced to face and overcome, the lesson learned is that with growth,
we sometimes grow apart.

I enjoyed reading And Even if I Did because it broke the stereotype that
all urban fiction is based on drug dealers, the projects and baby mama
drama. I also appreciated how the author made sure to point out the
importance of facing ones demons, forgiveness and allowing God to have a
part in one's life. There were a few oversights the editor didn't catch but
it didn't take away from the authors story. I would recommend And Even if I
Did to anyone who enjoys urban fiction or fiction in general. The jaw
dropping twist at the end made the entire read that much more interesting
and I look forward to reading more from Ms. Kisha Green and Diva Books Inc.,
