Cooking is not one of my favourite pastimes and I am not a particularly good cook at the best of times. Any excuse to get out of cooking and I will jump at it. But it was with regret this particular evening that with dinner almost cooked I turned the dinner off and watched with deep sadness the trauma unfolding across the road at my neighbours’ home.
“There has been a death across the road,” I said to my teenage daughter.
“How do you know?” she replied.
“Oh, I just know there is,” I said trying to avoid telling her that the young man who had tragically passed away was sitting in the corner of my lounge watching his folks through my window! I just knew that he had taken his own life and now he was frightened. He was tormented watching his parents go through the horror of finding his body in his car and how distraught they were.
This young man had sat in his car whilst the fumes from the pipe feeding carbon monoxide into the car had asphyxiated him, taking his life. He thought his dad would arrive home first and find him. He hadn’t counted on his mother changing her plans and arriving home early, only to find her son slumped in his car, obviously unconscious if not already dead.
His mother ran outside screaming and screaming for help but nobody heard her pleas and she was left to deal with this shocking trauma all by herself. She telephoned for help, and the ambulance and police arrived at her home before her husband could get there.
Sadly, the young man had passed away and was unable to be resuscitated. His mother could not believe this nightmare she was living and part of her felt she must be going to wake up and find that all of this was just a bad dream. But this was not the case, this was real life and this was her son who had taken his own life. These things happen and you read it in the newspaper, but it never visits our doorstep! Isn’t that what we all believe?
There were two sons in this family, quite close in age, both at university and so close in their relationship that they did everything together.
They both had girlfriends and were happy in their relationships. Whenever they went out it was always as a foursome or more if other friends wanted to be included. Life seemed to be going along happily and well.
What on earth went wrong? This just couldn’t be true! This was more than a nightmare for his mother, it was hell. It was every parent’s nightmare.
The spirit in my home watched the ambulance and police arrive. He watched his father’s car screeching into the driveway and flinging the door wide open as he tore himself from the car and ran into the garage. He watched his brother drive and park next to their father’s car and rush into the garage. He watched his friends arrive to sort out what really happened and whether it was not some sick joke. They were not really in any condition to support the parents and their friend, the spirit’s brother.
The spirit was in so much shock himself he really didn’t quite know what to do with himself. Why he chose to come and sit in my lounge and watch all this unfold was beyond me, though I knew deep down that his guides had brought him to me to try to help him through his shock and, if not come to terms with what he had done, at least try to understand the impact his actions had on those who loved him.
The young man in my lounge – I call him a young man because that is how he presented - looked as real as you and I, except of course I knew he was now in spirit form. He needed support. His family needed support. His friends walking up and down the middle of the road, they needed support. I wanted so much to cross the road and say to his parents it’s okay he is in my lounge but of course that was not possible. Obviously I could not do that but I desperately wanted to reach out and help these people and bring them comfort.
I had not actually met these neighbors; they were relatively new to the neighborhood. So that made it even more difficult for me to go and support them.
However, I finally did go to them.

A Journey To Understanding The True Nature Of The Spirit
Raine’s book, “Rainedrops From Heaven,” is the second book by this amazing author I have had the pleasure of reading. The first book of hers that I read, “And Rainedrops Fall Down My Cheeks,” was a truly fascinating book about a woman’s journey to discover more about her special gifts. “Rainedrops From Heaven” is a message of hope to anyone wanting to understand the physical manifestation of life and its relationship to the spiritual foundation that makes that life possible.
Raine’s writing style, which is very conversational, makes the reader feel he or she is being spoken to by the author as she relates her experiences with those who have crossed over, those who were left behind to deal with the grief caused by the parting of a loved one, and those angel visitants who provide comfort and support when we quietly ask for help and are willing to accept that help in whatever form it appears.
There are several key thoughts that the author presents which I find to be of great comfort and of great power. The first is: “We are truly loved every single second of our lives upon this earth. We are not judged. We are not going to be sent to hell. We are loved. We are surrounded every single day by our angels who are filled with love for us and want nothing more than to be asked by us for help. We are loved.” The Bible tells is that “God is Love,” and it is a powerful idea that God’s love surrounds us and fills us every moment of every day – regardless of whether we acknowledge God’s love or not.
The second powerful thought that the author presents is: “We are more than a body of flesh and bones; we are an eternal spirit residing in a physical body for the duration of our life upon this earth. Life goes on beyond this physical planet that we live on and our spiritual learning continues long after we have outlived this physical vehicle that we call a body.” The author is conveying that the 75 or so years we live on this earth are not all we get to determine where we spend the rest of eternity; rather, physical life is a classroom where we learn the key lessons we need to understand ourselves and God better, and each time we “cross over,” we are moving to the next classroom where we learn the next lessons. God never turns his back on us or abandons us, regardless of what we do.
The third powerful thought that the author presents is the idea of “Soul Groups,” or individuals that we travel with on our journey, but who take on different roles in our lives as we go from classroom to classroom. These individuals are our teachers, our parents, our friends, our lovers, our children, our students – whatever they need to be for us to learn what we need to learn as we move forward in our journey.
The author provides a number of examples from her personal experience that provide more details about these three thoughts, as well as many other key comforting messages that fill the book. It is through these examples that Raine gives the reader hope, comfort, and many valuable ideas for the reader to think about and use to better understand his or her own journey through life. 'Rainedrops From Heaven - Spiritual Medium Raine continues to share experiences of life, death and love' by Raine is a book in which the author speaks about past lives and experiences of many of her clients under hypnosis. It is a book that can guide you spiritually and widen your spiritual knowledge. The book will take you on a journey of what will happen after death and expresses the view that we will be happier after death.
Books on past lives and past life regression always fascinated me after I read 'Many Lives Many Masters' by Dr. Brian Weiss. They somehow seemed to explain a lot of things that were beyond our reach and ever since then any book related to that topic has held my interest. This is one such book where the author takes you on a wonderful spiritual journey and speaks about death and spirits, and the purpose of our lives. My favorite part is where the author discusses how to stop the karmic wheel in this lifetime, which I found very fascinating.
