The big man tensed, but still didn’t tell him to back off. He didn’t say a word, just stood there looking wary, but determined. Clearly curious. Cautious, too. Unable to resist any longer, he slanted his mouth over the tempting lips. Fire seared him. Need. Desperation. Cordell stiffened even more, and he was pretty sure his cowboy had never done this before. He appeared uncomfortable, and his heart pounded so hard he could feel it. Yet he didn’t pull away. Not wanting to frighten the man off, he gently slid his tongue along the crease of those lips until, finally, they opened. He had to have more, but he had to go slowly. Surprising him again, he felt Cordell put his arms around his waist, pushing under his suit coat, pulling him closer. God, yes! Heat raged through him, and he felt the warmth of the body pressed against his. Their hearts thudded, chest against chest. Then the man shuddered even as they tangled tongues. They kissed hungrily, only Daniel apparently familiar with this first sexual dance. Cordell seemed lost in the moment. Although he sensed the cowboy hadn’t done this before, he had moved past being hesitant, gone straight for being desperate to satisfy a need he no doubt hadn’t known he had.

Calhoun is the cowboy, who meets the CEO, Daniel, at a wedding. Sparks fly between them, though neither man is sure just what's going on. They just know there's an attraction they can't deny.

The CEO and the Cowboy has a great premise, and the two men seem destined to be together even if they themselves don't know it. At times things move a little too fast to be believable, and the POV can be unclear, but you'll want to keep going just to know what happens to these two!

This is a short and romantic m/m contemporary read. Calhoun and Daniel are the complete opposite of each other in terms of careers and sexuality but as the saying goes: opposites attract. These two were a hot combustive pair of well built sexy as hell men who could star in some of my female fantasies. The erotica is physical and hot but not to the point of being too in-depth or graphic. There are also some basic BDSM play between the two that spiced up the scenes but not to the point that I could say that this was a BDSM book.

My one issue is that there were story line and layering elements that would have benefited if this would have been a longer length book. The story line twists, pivotal to the plot, seemed glossed over and failed to have me believe it was as important as it seemed to be. I also think more graphic development of the attraction and sexual play would have conveyed the lust factor between these two and how they could meet as total strangers and end up in bed within a matter of hours.

Overall, a sweet read that will appeal to entry level m/m erotica romance readers who want a short length book that ends with the HFN ending that brings a smile to your face.

This was a really hot story and I enjoyed it. The action is hot as are the characters but, their story is a good one that ends the way I like a story to end.
