The X Factor finds the Apocalypse Babes friends, along with a few other lost L.A. stragglers, ensconced in a compound that may or may not be
run by evil Soviet scientists. Whether it's due to Bolshevik beliefs or
a manipulating girlfriend, nightmares are on the loose and they want what's
left of Seffy after the zombie attack. To make matters worse, one of the stragglers develops an unwanted attraction for Sef, and insists it's more than just UST à la Mulder and Scully.

Even better than 'The Z Word'!
Things are going from bad to worse for poor Seffy! With friends like hers who needs enemies? The action and relationship between Seffy and old friends and new had me hooked and I loved the cliffhanger ending!! I liked this book even more than I did 'The Z Word'! I am SO glad the third book has just come out! I really enjoy Bella Street's writing and love the 1980s references! Highly recommended!

Wow. Bella Street sure knows how to ramp up the drama. The X-Factor takes the Apocalypse Babes to a whole new level. They're still stuck in the 80s at a Montana compound and if anything, their situation seems even more bizarre. Seffy's friends have grown strangely distant and at times downright heartless. Meanwhile, an unexpected alliance with Trent, the handsome bad boy that showed up in the same pink sand post-apocalypse, has made life even more complicated for Seffy. She doesn't trust him, but she needs his help - more than she knows. Then there's Fenn's irregular behavior and serious health issues . . . and the on-going control issues by Fenn's elfin-like girlfriend Fiona.
I'm completely sucked into this series (which is weird since this isn't normally a genre I read) and can't wait for the next one. Did I mention the author is ruthless with her cliff-hangers? You're killing me, Ms. Street!
