Too many women have gone missing in the region of the South Dakota Black Hills…plus there’s the rumor of a lesbian sex slave camp. And the sidebar of men smelling of alcohol wandering on back roads and telling of being abducted, drugged, tied up, and used as a stud.
Are the three stories related?
Stephanie Daniels, 28, will go undercover to find out. She’ll be glad to get out of town for awhile too, and get away from her boyfriend. He’s not abusive, exactly, but he’s also not the love of her life she has always hoped for. In fact, she feels, they live together expressly for the purpose of neither being alone—she really hates their relationship, but has never allowed herself to say it, or even think it!
Journalist for the Cheyenne Eagle, Stephanie asks only for a home, a job, a little fun once-in-awhile, and to have someone who truly loves her. With professional journalistic clothes in her luggage she dresses as a teenage runaway for the bus ride to Quicksilver, the main local city. In halter top and cutoffs she attracts the attention of a flamboyant fellow passenger, Robbie, and his traveling companion, Jill. Stephanie does not trust the pair but they "are" a first contact. She should have listened to her first suspicion.
After two months she has interviewed all the men and the families of the missing women, plus has hitchhiked as a runaway and traveled the entire 200-mile perimeter of her editor's suggested area. She is close to giving up when, resting and having a beer in a dark bar, Megan appears, and offers to take her to Callipygia, a place with a humanistic goal but questionable methods. Stephanie will soon find herself wondering if her job still awaits her, and responsible for two pregnant women.

Stephanie Daniels felt her mouth fall open. She had just received the shock of her young life.
“We want to create a more sensitive society,” Megan added.
My God. Stephanie’s mind flew to the interviewed men with stories of being used as studs. She had believed them, yes, at least believed that they really believed it, but had also sometimes considered them quite humorous and chauvinistic. Stud service. What a laugh. But no longer.
“Oh, we aren’t like Hitler—“ Megan began.
“Why aren’t you? Do the men have a choice in the matter?”
“Well, not really. But we don’t force them, exactly.”
“My God, Megan,” Stephanie pushed away, “Meg, I can’t stay here.” She moved to the tent flap, wriggled her way through, and then fully realized she was in deep forest with no idea which direction even to go. She hadn’t even kept track of their direction yesterday. Just not thinking clearly at all.
“I can’t let you leave, Steph,” Megan appeared at the tent flap, dragging her backpack.
“You can’t stop me, Meg.”
“Yes, I can.” Megan slipped through the tent opening, reached into her backpack, produced a very small handgun, “You must not leave, Steph.” She introduced a cylinder to the barrel and began twisting it on.

The story is intricately woven, with an interesting plot twist. It kept me guessing and on the edge of my seat from start to finish! The heroines actions had me scratching my head at the beginning of the story, until I realised we don't always make wise choices, but thankfully most of us come away unscathed. The story is raw, and at times brutal, but is also one of hope, love and survival.

Callipygia: Utopian World of Callipygia...Just a Legend...? (Paperback)
I started this book because i needed something to read until i got my other books in the mail. I thought it was boring at first but then kept reading and I'm glad I did. It was very interesting and starting capturing my attention more and more. It was a great book and i enjoyed it very much. Took me by surprise.

I wish there were half-stars, because this really deserved 4 1/2 stars. The concepts, style, and descriptive writing really bring you into the story. There are a few flaws - but very few. I put off reading it because I thought it may be erotic and did not want to read erotica, but after reading Nelson's "The Bellwether," I enjoyed his style enough to give it a shot. I was not disappointed.
A poignant story about letting go of a narcissist in your life. Have you ever been attacked FULL force by a narcissist? It's the closest thing to being stabbed over and over in the back.
Suspenseful and close to home, Rain of Deception 2 will leave you in Tears. Much like Part 1, this will shocking sequel will keep you on the edge of your fingertips.
