Book 1 of a 3-book serial. The Illuminati, the elite of the world, have their people placed in all pulpits of power, and are ready to take control.

Book 1 of 3-book serial of “New World Order Rising,” The Abduction, is based on material written by conspiracy theorists.
The daughter and granddaughter of main character, Carter Banks, are abducted by professionals hired by the Illuminati. Carter hires childhood friend Harley Maxwell, ex-army special ops to help. Harley has a top of the line pickup for the GPS chase that leads from Fargo, ND, to a Satanist Illuminati camp in New Mexico.
On the way they see a storage area for casket-liners, a concentration camp, and witness a union striker roundup by black-uniformed police (super-soldiers.) Harley, an expert on the Illuminati, schools Carter, who doesn't care about politics and just wants his children back.
***
A subplot introduces Whit Malcolm, a loner young man on the edge emotionally, who is brainwashed to carry out a major mass shooting, and, at the sound of sirens, commit suicide.
****
The following material gives some idea what the Illuminati are composed of and their goals. The original Manchurian Candidate movie appeared in 1962, with Frank Sinatra and Lawrence Harvey. A Korean War POW, was brainwashed by the Communists to become a political assassin. Then a movie of the same name appeared in 2004, with Denzel Washington. Without expanding on either movie their premise was the same: Brainwashing, Politics, Assassinations.

Do I believe brainwashing can work? Yes I do, and with today’s technologies, drugs, and techniques, I really believe it.

Who is this evil and very powerful force? One name they go by is the Illuminati (the “shadow” government) a group of people—top bankers, CEOs, politicians, generals, ETC.—who want to control the world, and through bloodlines and birthrights consider themselves elite above all others.

In my research of conspiracy theories and the Illuminati, one story that stands out is the suggestion that the Illuminati abduct individuals with certain qualities—shyness, quiet, loner, Etc.—and brainwash them to become mass shooters. Think about it: Most of the shooters are either completely whacko, or, at the end of their killing spree they commit suicide. Brainwashing could work in either case: The sound of approaching sirens becomes the click to become either totally whacko, or to self-destruct, giving law enforcement, basically, nothing for clues.

According to Conspiracy theorists, America is #1 on the Illuminati’s list to disarm the civilian. Mass shootings continue to escalate to worse and worse, but it will be difficult to get worse than the murdering at Sandy Hook Elementary, of 20 innocent six and seven-year-old children and their beautiful teachers. The only way it can get worse is to continue killing children, until the President with the backing of the entire Congress orders the army to do a house-to-house search to confiscate all guns.

After the American civilian is disarmed, America herself will not stand long against the powerful Illuminati, and when America is defeated, the rest of the world will follow, obediently, into slavery. Without nationwide American Minutemen, so to speak, to 'defend...,' well, think of Japanese Admiral Isoroku Yamamoto’s words, “You cannot invade America. There would be a rifle behind every blade of grass.” But, no more…?

As a last word, the Illuminati—or whoever they are—have been striving toward world domination for generations, even hundreds of years. It probably isn't something that could happen overnight, but these increasing mass shootings suggest they are getting impatient.

Doesn't this sound a bit suspicious? Doesn't it sound like a huge, powerful, possibly/probably, evil, force is out there…and pushing for total control? Please remember Nazi Germany and Communist Russia. Do you think such an evil force cannot happen again? It has happened again and again from time immemorial. We, today, no matter how smart we think we are with our electronic gadgets, are not immune from totalitarianism.

Excerpt

From Chapter 4
Carter watched his daughter and granddaughter walking away. Chantal, already dressed for work, wore trim-fitting dark bluejeans and a white top with matching denim vest. Dodie also wore a white top and light blue bib overalls. No matter how his girls dressed they were always the apple of his eye. About another forty feet and they would turn left, cross the street, then walk two more blocks, turn right, and the second house on the left on that block was their new home. He could have dropped them at their front door, but both preferred to always walk the short distance.
They lived close by, yes, but not like it could be out on the farm. Finishing their short vacation—Chantal had to be back for her weekend shift—the three of them had just spent the last three days and nights at his sister’s. He had—discretely—brought up the idea to his sister about the three of them moving out, eventually, to join them on the farm. His sister’s response did not surprise him: She loved the idea, the sooner the better, and she didn’t even mention husband Mason.
The mother and daughter turned left, crossed the street, and just before they would disappear behind the first house they stopped. Both waved.
Carter felt his face break out in a huge smile. Since Chantal was old enough to think for herself she had always waved just before she wouldn’t see her daddy anymore, and now she was teaching her daughter to do the same.
His heart swelled in fondness. How he loved those two children. Yes, Chantal was twenty-four, but she would always be his little girl. They kept waving and moved on, and he kept waving…then they disappeared. His heart gave an extra little beat, as it always did, as if he feared he wouldn’t see his children again.
He turned away to re-enter his own house. Through peripheral vision he saw a white van pass, going down the same street as his children, but he just saw it; his mind told him nothing, then…brake lights? Someone Chantal knows?...Or, what?
His heart gave a second beat, a little louder—tires squealing, as if the van had stopped quick. His heart kept making itself known. A few more seconds passed. Another squeal, just a squeal, as if the van had taken off quick.
He didn’t spend any more time thinking about it. He moved quickly to the street sidewalk, then broke into a run. He reached almost to the next street. He knew in the short amount of time passed that Chantal and Dodie should only be about halfway down the first block. He slowed. He didn’t want his two girls to know that he had run after them for probably no good reason. But as he got closer to that street, straining his neck to see…he saw nobody.
What the hell?
Again he broke into a run, both blocks, turned right, and in the second house on the left he would find his two darling children. How could they have gotten there so quickly? Had they ran? If so, why? He reached the sidewalk to their house. His heart was now pounding, and not from the exertion of his run. He forced himself to walk quietly and calmly to the door, wondering what reason he could give for chasing after them.
Second excerpt from the subplot, where the Illuminati brainwash a young man already on psychosomatic drugs to carry out a mass shooting:
Study this dream carefully, Whit, and remember it. Someone had spoken. But nobody was
close by…was the voice just in his head? And how could it know his name? Before Whit could determine where the voice had come from a new vision appeared. He saw people falling, and screaming. He saw much blood spurting. He looked down. A gun. He was firing the gun that was causing all the screaming and blood.
He watched for a few seconds, then shook his head. He tried. His head barely moved, but enough to end that horrible scene. And what was that scene? Was it one of his abnormal dreams?—but he was awake! It was daytime, he thought! He had enough mind left to realize that the scene was viciously violent, and something he would never, never, ever, do. So why was he dreaming that he would do it?

This is an amazing book. It kept me interested from the first page to the very last page, with a lot of excitement and action. I could not put the book down.

Gripping read!, July 20, 2013 By david sloma
I found this a compelling and interesting story. That the subject matter is very plausible, and has been the subject of non-fiction books made it even more spooky! James weaves a thrilling "chase" with the characters, giving them a vibrancy as the puzzle unfolds, taking the reader into some very unsettling territory that needs to be examined. If you like stories about good people battling dark forces, check this one out!

A must read, October 22, 2013 By Carolee Samuda (Kingston, Jamaica)
If you like suspense this is the book for you. It took me a while to read it because I was a bit scared since I had read the synopsis earlier. You get the feeling as you delve more into it that the events actually occurred based on the details. I totally love it.
